Sorry that I don't blog very often, we just don't have a very exciting life. But finally we got out of the house and we have done things over that past two weekends so here is a two-for-one special and you better enjoy it! First we were able to go to conference. It is always such a great experience to be there with all the wonderful leaders of the church, and to be able to listen to them speak. It was a little rainy and this is us out side the conference center with our xango umbrella (of course) about to go in.
Now I did almost get us kicked out twice while we were there (not actually kicked out, but in trouble). First I took my keys and completely forgot that I have a small thing of mace on my key chain, and while security was going through my purse they found the mace and they had to call the main security guy over to talk to us and tell us that we are not allowed to take my keys out of my purse at all for any reason while we were in the conference center. And I felt really bad cause I just forgot that I had that on my keys.
Then I decided to take this picture of us in the conference center, before it started of course, and I did turn the flash off but the usher guy still came down and told us that we were not allowed to take pictures even though all around us people were taking pictures with their super bright flashes blinding everyone. Luckily we didn't get kicked out and we were able to have a great experience at conference. Then yesterday we decided to go up to the aquarium in Salt Lake. Now I am used to the huge aquarium that we visit every time we are in Tennessee so I was a little disappointed because we got through this one in about thirty minutes walking as slowly as possible, but it was pretty good and we still had fun. So this is Josh outside just super excited to go in!
This is me on a giant frog because you have to have at least one picture of yourself on a giant frog! It was kind of awkward to sit on that is why it looks a little weird, and it also looks a little weird cause I am sitting on a giant frog.
This is Josh petting a sting ray it is a little blurry and I tried to get another one but Josh refused to put his hand in and pet another one, so sorry!
These are just spotted little sting rays that I thought looked cool.
And these are Pirannahs and I thought they were cool cause I have never seen them before and they are supposed to be able to eat like a whole person but they just look like normal fish.
So that is what we have been doing. I know you are all so jealous cause we have such a fun-filled crazy life ,but we are just lucky like that!
We celebrated Kristy's 23rd birthday yesterday, we ate her favorite meal (Olive Garden salad), went to a couple of stores she wanted to visit, and then went to the movie "Paranormal Activity"
During our travels yesterday we drove by a real life DeLorean in American Fork! Craziest thing about the scene was that he was being followed by some suspicous looking Libyan guys in a VW bus.
Mao had minor surgery today to remove what has become a pretty rotten looking tumor on the back of his neck. Fortunately it was not cancerous so the cut didn't have to be too deep.
He passed out immediately after I got him home so I covered him up to keep warm.
His eyes have been glazed over all night and his walking has been a little shaky but he is doing jut fine. He is such a good little dog, we can't wait until we can scratch his neck again!
